The Zytronic Group consists of two companies; the parent company is Zytronic plc which was incorporated in 2000 and admitted to the London Stock Exchange Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in July 2000; and the operating subsidiary Zytronic Displays Limited, which was incorporated in April 1943 and was demerged from its then parent company in June 2000.
Zytronic Displays Limited has operated in the optical glass laminating industry for over 30 years and has been largely involved in the manufacture of electronic displays and optical filters, used in a wide variety of industries from facial visors for the military and police, through radio frequency interference and electromagnetic interference (RFI/EMI) glass panels, to optical displays used, for instance, on ATMs.
Since July 2000, Zytronic Displays Limited has developed and marketed a range of interactive touch sensor products based upon its unique projected capacitive technology (PCT™). PCT offers, to industrial and public access equipment designers, a blend of high durability and environmental stability, together with a read ability to customise the product for shape, size, thickness, printing, etc across a range of touch solutions.
The Group currently operates from three modern factories in Tyne and Wear, England, United Kingdom.
