Sports Vision Table featuring highly rugged, large format PCT™ product with multi-touch functionality
Australian-based JEA Technologies – distribution partner to Suzo-Happ – have chosen Zytronic to provide advanced rugged touch-sensor solutions with projected capacitive touch technology (PCTTM) for their Interactive Pro table.
With a 42-inch display, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and high performance ZXY200 touch controller, these large format touch tables are ideal for retail and leisure environments.
The Graphical User Interface allows sports fans to watch live games as well as view web pages for sport-related news and features.Thanks to multiple screen configurations and multi touch screen technology, up to 4 separate TV signals can be received or websites accessed at the same time. Palm-rejection algorithms in the Zytronic firmware also gives the Interactive Pro Table’s touch performance durability and efficiency against several users leaning on the touch screen table at once.
A micro-fine, metal mesh sensing matrix embedded within a laminated substrate can detect multiple finger touches through the screen’s 6mm-thick glass overlay. Zytronic’s inherently robust multi-touch PCT solution supports up to 40 simultaneous touch points and the sensors are virtually invulnerable to many forms of harm or interference, including impacts, surface damage and spillages. Inherently resistant to gradual sensor drift means Zytronic’s PCT touch sensors outperform Surface Acoustic Wave, Infrared and Optical Touch technologies, and unlike these more conventional options, the PCT touch sensors do not need to be re-calibrated. With no need for a bezel edge around the sensor perimeter, a sleek, smooth-fronted design is easily achieved.
