Zytronic, the leading designer and manufacturer of Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT™) based touch sensors for self-service, digital signage, gaming and industrial use, has extended its in-house research and development capabilities with the recruitment of two additional engineers. Colm Mulvey (Software Engineer) and Liren Bian (Electronic Engineer) further strengthen the company’s ability to design and develop new touch technologies and support its global customer base.
Colm Mulvey has over twenty years software development experience gained within the aerospace and embedded telecoms fields. This has resulted in familiarity with leading embedded operating systems and microcontrollers. He holds a BSc Eng (Hons) from the University of Dublin.
Liren Bian completed his BEng (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle upon Tyne, where he received the Dean’s Award of the University as well as the third prize in the IET Final Year project competition. His work experience includes three years of embedded software and firmware engineering.
Zytronic’s technical director, Dr. Andrew Morrison, said: “Zytronic was a pioneer in the development of projected capacitive touch technology. We continue to drive PCT forward, for example with our latest large format multitouch products, and have other exciting new developments in the pipeline. The addition of Colm and Liren brings further experience to our team of highly skilled electronic and software engineers and will enable us to support existing customers and exciting new projects alike.”
