Zytronic, the developer and manufacturer of Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT™)-based touch sensors, has appointed Chris Graham as its new touchscreen production manager and Douglas Wilson as engineering manager. Both will be based at Zytronic’s manufacturing site in Newcastle (UK). Zytronic installed two new laminators at the beginning of the year, increasing production capacity and efficiency, to support the growth of PCT™-based touch sensor product sales worldwide, which now represent 66% of total revenues for Zytronic.
Chris Graham, Zytronic’s new touchscreen production manager, trained at Wearside Technical College in engineering and electrical installation in conjunction with an electrical craft apprenticeship. From 1994 until 2005 he held various production positions at JoyceLoebl including production controller and defence team leader (operations). He gained further expertise at Thorn Lighting, Conner Solutions and Tetley Tea. Douglas Wilson, the new engineering manager, has expertise in project management covering capacity expansion and equipment improvement and installation; preventative maintenance and cost reduction. Achieving HNC standard in Electrical & Electronic Engineering he later studied project, performance and staff management. He held positions as equipment engineering manager at technology giants Atmel, Freescale Semiconductor and Motorola before joining Zytronic in Newcastle.
Mark Cambridge, Chief Executive Officer at Zytronic, said: “Chris and Douglas are valuable additions to the engineering and production team. Their skills and expertise will help us to support the increasing demand resulting from the growing adoption of our touch sensor products worldwide.”
