Zytronic had another fantastic showing at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE) 2016, held at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, Las Vegas, NV, USA. Billed as the world’s largest tradeshow of digital display and interactive technologies, DSE was a great opportunity to demonstrate our latest interactive touch technology products.
Attended by the professional end users, representing the key decision makers from major industries such as retail, entertainment, transportation, medical and hospitality, DSE also attracted advertising executives and brand marketers looking for the latest leading-edge interactive products.
At the show we debuted our new Android™ ZyConfig App, designed to make it much quicker and easier to design powerful and intuitive multi-touch content and User Interfaces (UI) for the Android operating system. The App is available from http://zytronic.co.uk/support/downloads and is loaded onto the Android target hardware. Once loaded the tool detects the attached Zytronic touch controller and the user just needs to calibrate the touch screen and tune the touch sensitivity which is done quickly and easily through the App. Discover more
Attracting a lot of attention from attendees was our tall and immersive, curved multi touch kiosk, featuring a zero bezel printed glass interface and a waist-height, 19-inch ‘Qwerty’ touchscreen keyboard. Demonstrating our near limitless ability to customise touch screens in the smallest quantities, the unit is managed by two separate ZXY200® controllers each capable of detecting up to 40 simultaneous touch points.
Following the trend seen at ISE in February, Object recognition was a big trend at the show. Zytronic demonstrated object recognition functionality on the 55” multi touch table. Aimed at retail applications, object recognition can create a unique brand experience, offering innovative interactive selling options when combined with appropriate software.
We also demonstrated our latest “force” sensing or 3D-touch capability for the first time. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting new functionality, which will be available to software developers soon.
Our CEO Mark Cambridge was also a star of the show, discussing Zytronic’s technology, history and our vision for the future, with the Daily DOOH. Read the full interview here.
