The “fours” were strong at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2016 and more than 1,000 companies took advantage of the additional 4th day to launch and display new products and ideas, and once again Zytronic had a strong presence at the show.
Visitors were captivated by our massive 85” 4K Multitouch Projected Capacitive touch screen which we debuted for the first time in Europe. The 85” touch screen works in conjunction with our advanced ZXY300 controller; specifically designed for ultra large format multi touch functionality, and offers an impressive 40 point touch recognition.
Also featured on the Zytronic stand was our interactive unit featuring a 55” multi touch Zyprofilm with integrated rear projection film. Designed to be mounted to the rear surface of a rigid transparent substrate (such as glass or plastic), Zytronic’s range of foil based touch sensors can quickly transform a standard display or single pane window into a responsive interactive solution, perfect for a host of uses including promotional interactive digital signage displays, gaming and touch table applications, restaurants, kiosks, boardrooms, estate agent and retail applications.
We were excited to see one of the big trends of the show was mirrored displays, in fact Samsung showcased their displays by creating an impressive floor to ceiling feature wall!
Perfect for retail applications mirrored displays offer sleek aesthetically pleasing designs combined with flexible functionality. Predicting this trend back in 2010, Sales and Marketing director Ian Crosby, highlighted the benefits of uniting mirrored displays with Zytronic’s patented PCT technology in a White paper, Touchscreen Market Enters Period of Reflection, and more recently we supplied fashionable high street optician Kite GB with a cutting edge 42” multi touch sensors featuring mirror-finished toughened glass, for their trailblazing, touch-enabled point of sale unit located at their flagship store in London’s East End. Another exciting trend was the continued presence of touch screen tables, and noticeably the size of these tables is increasing. This was showcased by NEC who showcased an impressive 85” multi touch table, which really drew in the crowds.
Predicting the touch table trend, we also demonstration our innovative object recognition functionality, an unusual development aimed at touch tables in retail applications and based on its Multi-touch Projected Capacitive (MPCT™) touch technology. Zytronic’s multi touch Zybrid sensors are the perfect solution for large scale touch tables which can benefit from the durable toughened glass and customisable design.
