Zytronic 2015: A Year in Review

10 December 2015

It’s been another eventful year at Zytronic, with continued expansion into foreign markets, exciting new product launches, and further innovations to push the boundaries of what is possible with our touchscreen technology.

2015 began with the announcement of our new ZYFILM Multitouch – a rollable, flexible touch film, which enables customers to create their own eye-catching interactive displays, when paired with our award-winning touch sensors. And things became only more interesting from there.

Stepping Into Asia

In April, we took our first big step into Asia, with the opening of our Taipei office, followed by the opening of our Tokyo office in June. We also struck a deal to help keep the people of Seoul moving, by supplying hundreds of state of the art 46-inch ZYBRID touch sensors for interactive bus shelters across the city.

Our sights remained firmly set on South East Asia when we signed a new distribution agreement with TouchMedia, targeting countries such as Vietnam and Malaysia, and later teamed up with SpinTouch International and Rok Interactive to provide essential components for their breathtaking Mozayo touch table.

Global Gaming Expo

This year’s Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, which took place in September, gave us the opportunity to again showcase our ultra-large format multi-touch products in the form of a 55” roulette table simulator and a custom 40” curved fruit machine.

In October we announced that our touch sensors had been deployed in the new NOMYU multimedia kiosk, with applications ranging from digital signage to wayfinding and infotainment.

A Partnership in South America

In November, we announced a new deal with South American communications network Movistar to roll out our Projected Capacitive touch sensors for an exciting interactive multimedia experience at stores and kiosks in South America.

And we capped a memorable 2015 with a ministerial visit from Lord Maude of Horsham, the Minister for Trade and Investment, who was delighted to be given a tour of our 80,000sq ft manufacturing facility in Blaydon on Tyne.
