Industrial

Traditionally, industrial and medical equipment designers have relied on mechanical switches and dials for system control. But ease of use and cleaning, coupled with the availability of rugged projected capacitive touchscreens also capable of surgical or heavily gloved hand operation in the harshest of environments is changing how people interact with machines and computers in the workplace.

Applications could include those as diverse as access control screens for high-security prisons to operator control panels on oil rigs. What connects them all, is a need for a touch technology that will not the Human Machine Interface (HMI) designer down when the going gets tough, potentially stopping a production line, or even putting lives at risk.
